This week I am presenting three works created between January 2008 and March 2009 : "Mum" is the secret image of the mum we don't want to dare to imagine, there is something in mums, our mums that is frightening... this is what this piece is about... , " Hommage à Schiele" is the last of a three part series of tributes i realized to the great austrian artist Egon Schiele, many of his drawings have never been seen a lot, and mainly for the reason that those are in private collections not to be seen on exhibition or museums, so this is inspired by one of his black and white pencil drawings, that i modified to then colorize... " In my Garden " derives from a piece of advice that is the leitmotiv of Candide , the hero of Voltaire's novel, "cultivez votre jardin" meaning that we should develop and grow, nurture and water what is potential in our selves, which is , to my mind the basis of a sane development, so that was the start of this  - quite old - painting, made of many successive paintings one of top of the other, as earth covers earth and gives birth to , in this case creatures in a relationship...

You may have noticed that my blog is in English this week, well, I have thought about this for a long time, and decided to switch at least once in a while to English. My language is not perfect but understandable, i am sorry , but french speakers will have to google this , every one gets a turn to feel lost in front of the text. I have found that most of the people that are interested in my work understand at least basic english, so ... let's go global!

I must repeat that i am organizing an art show at the moment in France with an American artist Jesse Reno and a polish artist Jerzy Ruszczynski, in the castle of my city, Liverdun. If you care to come and visit , it will be on till the 14th of June
